House rewiring
Older homes, homes built in the 1960s or before, and homes with poor or uncertified past work may need a rewire. Signs include cloth-covered flexes, an old black fuse board with rewireable fuses, unearthed lighting circuits and fuses that blow for no clear reason.

Fuseboard and consumer unit replacement
An old fusebox can be replaced with a modern consumer unit with RCD protection, which switches the power off in a fraction of a second if someone gets a shock. Not sure what you have? Look for a "T" test button and a "test quarterly" label, or ask us to check it for free.
PAT testing
Portable appliance testing for shops, offices and other businesses, fitted around your working day, with a label on every item and a printed record.

Think of it as an MOT for your wiring. BS 7671 recommends a home is checked at least every 10 years. We inspect and test from the consumer unit to every outlet and give you a written report, with a quote for any work it finds.
Garden and garage power and lighting
Power and lighting for garages, sheds, greenhouses, workshops and gardens, water features included, installed safely and as unobtrusively as possible. We have worked alongside local garden landscapers.
Security lighting and CCTV
From a motion-sensor coach lamp by the garage to a full CCTV installation, which we have fitted for a local care home.
Storage heaters
New and replacement storage heaters, including heating for extensions the wet system cannot reach. We do not repair individual storage heaters.
Hard-wired smoke detectors
Smoke detectors wired into your electrics, so they cannot easily be disabled and need fewer battery changes. Where new cables are hard to run, there are options with minimal upheaval.
