House rewiring
What a rewire involves
The biggest electrical job most homes ever have. It means lifting carpets and boards, so it is done with as little mess and disruption as possible.
- Step 01
Free quote
Angus looks at the house, listens to what you want and gives you a price. No charge for quotes.
- Step 02
Plan the extras
A rewire is the time to move awkward light fittings, add recessed lighting and put in the sockets you have always needed.
- Step 03
The rewire
All wiring replaced, a new consumer unit, main bonding to gas and water, earthing upgraded, new switches and sockets.
- Step 04
Left tidy
Carpets and boards go back down and the house is left as clean and tidy as it was found.
About A Dewar Ltd
Family-run for 27 years
Angus Dewar first opened for business in 1999, and the company has served Colchester and the surrounding area ever since. It became a limited company, A Dewar Ltd, in 2010, and is now based in Thorrington.
Customers range from homeowners to shops, offices and local authorities, along with letting agents, estate agents and private landlords.
All work is to BS 7671, the IET wiring regulations, using materials from recognised wholesalers and manufacturers. As a small business, Angus can also call on other reliable, qualified electricians, and sometimes other trades, when a job needs them.
